8th Grade ELA!

On March 27th, from 7-8pm, we will host Jessica Arrendol Kiely, Ph.D., holistic chef and integrative health practitioner and founder of Wellness Literacy Kitchen.

Jessica will be here to lead an open-ended, interactive program for Accord families about making simple food shifts to improve our kids' health and well being. Don't miss this awesome hour of strategy and community building! Admission is free. RSVP…

Jessica Arrendol Kiely, PhD, is the founder of Wellness Lit Kitchen™ and the creator of Wellness Literacy™. She believes that becoming wellness literate is not only beneficial but essential. Understanding how to nourish oneself is fundamental to longevity, vitality, and fully embracing one’s purpose. This journey begins with food.

Research Study
We are excited to welcome Data Strategy Consultant Michaela Tobin, ED.M. to our Advisory classes the week of March 31st. Michaela is a Harvard University graduate and a Norwell native. She will administer a questionnaire for students regarding school attendance.

About the study:
One of the major education challenges stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic is the exacerbation of school avoidance, where a student refuses to attend school or has difficulty being in school for the entire day. At The Accord School, many learners have a history of school avoidance or low attendance in their previous educational settings.

However, we have observed a significant improvement in their attendance after transitioning to our school! While we have several hypotheses about the factors contributing to this shift, we currently lack concrete evidence to support them. To better understand what makes students want to attend our school, we aim to conduct an assessment of our School Environment - or the relationships, physical space, and overall culture within our school that may impact student attendance, achievement, and overall sense of well-being.

2025-26 Financial Aid
Re-enrollment for current 5th-7th grade students was sent out via TADS last week and is due by 4/15/25. The financial aid application for current families is open until 3/31/25 on TADS Family Portal Login.
