Our Students

28 students. 28 unique stories.

There is no typical Accord kid. Some of us enroll as ten-year-old fifth graders whose families identified the need for us to skip the traditional middle school experience. Occasionally, some of us enroll as fourteen-year-old eighth graders who need a year of respite before high school after a challenging seventh grade year. Most of us started somewhere in between.

And while we all have our own reasons for joining Accord, we do share some commonalities:

We are curious about the natural and human world.
We know the teaching styles that work for us.
We build trusting relationships with our teachers as they demonstrate their understanding for what we need.
We love hands-on learning experiences.
We really love art class.
We connect with peers who become life-long friends.
We show grace for our peers (because we are all here to work on something!).
We grow profoundly as individuals and community members in ways that constantly astound our teachers and families.
