Our Traditions

At The Accord School, we believe that joyful, meaningful learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our vibrant community thrives on traditions—some wonderfully quirky, others deeply meaningful—that build connection, foster social skills, and create lasting memories. From our hilarious Inflatable Parade for Joy and Fakesgiving family dinner role-playing feast, to the truly terrible yet fun Gift Swap, these moments teach social graces with a playful twist. We also cherish more reflective traditions like our collaborative Task Party living art project on the first day and a Breakfast Restaurant Takeover to celebrate the last. When our students graduate, they receive a special pewter llama pin, a symbol rooted in the heartwarming story of Artie the llama (read his full story here!).

It's a reminder that, like Artie, they are always welcome to come home again to The Accord School (join the alumni group).
